Over 25 years ago, my Dad Knute and I knew there had to be a better way to serve our customers while at the same time enhancing our own lives.
My Dad (our Petrarch) had spent many years managing a stereotypical “main style” jewelry store and I was following 1n his footsteps. We concluded that in order to compete with the big boys we’d have 10 create a niche that others weren’t able re willing to do.
Establishing professionalism was our number one priority, I studied through the Gemological Institute of American and in 1964 received my degree In Gemology. It has always been very rewarding to be able to speak to my customers 1ntelligenlly and to teach them what they’d like to know about diamonds and gemstones.
In the early days not having much of an inventory, we made everything to order. We did not have a beautiful selection choose showroom showcases. Over the years we have built an on-premises shop 2nd to none. Currently Kuntson and Associates is a truly unique family affair with Knute and Joyce working a throttled back schedule me my wife Cindy and I (the dynamic duo) lend to the needs of our loyal clientele.
